Prep School is a business-focused online school geared towards creative business owners.  We focus on profitability, using our creative processes to build value in our products and services, understanding how to set ourselves apart in our market, value and price our time and work, and how to actually turn a profit and stay sane at the same time.  We address burn out, scarcity mindset, and imposter syndrome, as well as build support and encouragement in our creative communities.  

Prep School is perfect for the new creative as well as the seasoned professional and anywhere in between.  So many of us have begun or have been running successful creative businesses, but lack the business education background to really help us make the most of our business. Our courses are designed to build on each other semester to semester, and we provide creative courses alongside our business courses to stay inspired and extend the bounds of our current creative knowledge.  

If you're just starting out and need to know where to begin, hop on our first semesters courses for a great jumpstart.  If you've been in business for a while and are tired, have to work nights and weekends, continue to have terrible clients, are frustrated or any of the above, then this is definitely for you.  

I've had a passion for teaching for years - when I first started my business, there just weren't option for creative business education outside of formal university classes.  I didn't want to go that route, I wanted to have something that taught me exactly what I needed to know.  I spent years making mistakes, trying the wrong things, burning myself out, crying (let's just be real) and not making any money.  It took more discipline than I knew I was capable of, some serious boundaries, and a lot of heartache to get where I am now and I'm not even close to being finished learning. 

However, now I'm in the place to turn around and teach.  Using my own experiences, mistakes, missteps and successes to train the current and next generations of creative business owners to make our industry better, teaching exactly the things that we struggle with as artists, people and business owners.
